Update on the Girls

Six days in, the girls are doing pretty well.

Cammy is definitely better off than her sister right now.  She now weighs 3 lbs 14 oz.  Riley is down to 3 lbs 11 oz.

Neither have ever needed any help with breathing.  This is due in large part to the steroid shots Becky endured while they were still in the womb.

Both are eating alright.  Cammy generally eats all that she's given, which is about 30-35 ml.  Riley, on the other hand, has a little bit more trouble.  She's all tuckered out and eating is just too much work for her sometimes.  They inserted a feeding tube Monday night.  It goes in through her nose, and the nurses use it when she's too tired to eat or they feel she just needs a break from trying to eat.  As of late, she's been feeding mostly from the bottle.  They've only needed to use the tube to get the last few milliliters down her gullet.

The doctors said to expect a 10-14 day hospital stay from the birthday.
